SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team struck first, but a trio of goals by visiting Pepperdine in the middle of the first half was the difference as the Waves (10-6-2/6-2-0 WCC) defeated the Dons (10-7-2/3-4-1 WCC) 3-2 on Wednesday evening at a foggy Negoesco Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Dons struck first when took a touch pass from inside the penalty box and blasted it past the Waves keeper who had no shot at that close range at the 20 minute.
• The Dons 1-0 advantage did not last long.
