LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of San Francisco volleyball team received a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the second straight year Monday, and for the first time in program history, the Dons' beach program also received a Team Academic Award.
The Dons have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award in each of head coach Frank Lavrisha's first two seasons with the program. The indoor team posted a 3.42 team Grade Point Average in 2018-19. The beach team came in at 3.47. The indoor program has earned an AVCA Team Academic Award in six of the last eight years overall.
