NAPA, Calif. – If USF came to the Silverado Resort and Spa looking to build some momentum heading into next week's West Coast Conference Championships, the Dons might have caught lightening in a bottle after finishing eighth on one the strongest fields of the spring at the Silverado Showdown.
The Dons finished play today by turning in a 2-over 290 to go along with rounds of 301 and 287. At 878, USF finished 14-over par for the 54-hole event and was ahead of four top-50 teams, including San Jose State (39), Pepperdine (35), Texas Tech (36) and TCU (30).
