SAN FRANCISCO –– Despite losing the doubles point to begin the match, the Dons battled back by rattling off four straight singles wins to clinch a 4-3 victory over Eastern Washington at the Olympic Club on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Dons finished their homestand 2-0.
The Eagles started off fast at No. 3 doubles, with Dani Young and Katrina Domingo beating Sofia Holmberg and Shanna Dos Santos 6-2. The Dons were able to even the doubles point on the No. 1 court, with Andrea Ka and Thyra Taune picking up their sixth doubles win together, closing out a 6-4 win over Janaya Smith and Faye Worrall.
