Shew Dominates as Dons Route Tigers on Saturday

STOCKTON, Calif. – Bouncing back from a close series opening loss, the USF Dons baseball team (11-11, 2-6) put together a complete team effort to dominate the Pacific Tigers (9-15, 2-6) by a 14-0 final score from Klein Family Field on Saturday afternoon.

Putting together his best outing of the season, tossed seven scoreless innings against the Tigers as he allowed just eight total base runners while striking out five UOP hitters. At the plate, had a dominant afternoon going 3-for-4 with his third round tripper of the season to give the Dons some separation.

  • After two scoreless innings to begin the game, the Dons' bats began to wake up as Blake Atkins led off the third with a triple and came around to score on Mario DeMera's sacrifice fly to right field putting USF up 1-0 early.
