SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (17-24) earned a bounce-back victory over San Jose State (20-21) in a narrow 3-2 decision Tuesday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

- San Jose State jumped out to an early first-inning lead when Zach Chamizo recorded a long solo home run over the right-center field wall for a 1-0 lead.
- San Francisco answered in the bottom half of the frame, scoring two runs to take a 2-1 advantage. Kody Watanabe set the tone with a lead-off triple and later tied the game at one apiece on a Kenny DeCelle sacrifice fly.
