SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of San Francisco baseball team (21-29, 7-15 WCC) dropped a shortened seven-inning contest to Portland (21-24, 12-7 WCC), falling 13-3 Saturday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Portland struck first in the opening frame with two RBI base hits from Brady Bean and Jonas Salk to take an early 2-0 lead. Adding to their momentum in the second inning, Bean notched another RBI single to make it 3-0.
- After shutting out the Pilots in the top of the third, the Dons responded with three straight two-out singles as Patrick Keighran notched an infield single to drive in TJ Rogers to cut the deficit to 3-1.
