SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Senior, Ryan Marker a member of the University of San Francisco's men's tennis team was named West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week, Monday for the week of April 23 after clinching a thrilling victory over Pepperdine, 4-3 on Friday afternoon at the California Tennis Club.
Both teams competed to the very last set as Marker pulled away with a solid 4-6, 6-3, 4-6 victory at No. 1 over Adrian Oetzbach to hand the Dons their first conference win of the season. In the last match of the season on Saturday, Marker led his dual match, 7-6, 3-2 before it went unfinished against Loyola Marymount.
