SAN FRANCISCO — Graduate senior Jonah Van Der Werf scored his first goal of the 2019 season as well as the deciding goal of the match to give San Francisco their 1-0 victory over University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Sunday's victory, San Francisco improves to 2-3-0 with strong efforts from both sides of the field. As a team the Dons outshot the Rebels 17-10 with five shots on goal.
- Werf, who played 61 minutes in this afternoon's match, retrieved a shot taken from Zyan Andrade that hit the top of the goal post.
