SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Competing in their first home match of the season, the USF Dons men's tennis team (2-12, 0-4) battled hard at the California Tennis Club on Friday afternoon before ultimately falling short by a 4-2 score to the Gonzaga Bulldogs (7-7, 2-1).
Leading the way for the Dons on Friday was a pair of stellar performances in singles as both Moritz Hoffmann and Nikola Kuraica were able to pick up individual victories to account for USF's two points after dropping the team doubles point to begin the action.
