MBB | Dons Hang Tough with No. 15 Gonzaga

SAN FRANCISCO – Free throws proved to be the difference as the University of San Francisco men's basketball team stood their ground against No. 15 Gonzaga, falling 75-65 on Saturday evening in front of a sold out crowd at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

USF (10-9, 2-4 WCC) went 9-for-19 from the charity stripe, 4-for-12 in the first half alone. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs were 12-for-17 from the three-throw line.

The poor performance from the free throw line did not overshadow an otherwise strong performance from the Dons, who twice cut the deficit to six points in the second half.
