PARAMUS, N.J. – Matthew Anderson, a four-time letter winner on the University of San Francisco men's golf team, continued his successful summer by qualifying for the round of 64 at the 122nd U.S. Amateur on Tuesday.
Leading the field at Oshawa Golf & Curling Club in Oshawa, Canada, Anderson shot a 3-under-137 (66, 71) across two rounds to qualify for match play at The Ridgewood Country Club. Impressively, the native Canadian was the only individual to shot under par at the event in Oshawa.
