Leite and dos Santos Post Career Highs, Dons Defeat Portland State on the Road

PORTLAND, Ore. – Propelled by career highs from Luana Leite and Debora dos Santos, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team (3-7) powered past Portland State (5-4), 74-63, Saturday afternoon at Viking Pavilion.

  • San Francisco recorded the first points of the game when dos Santos scored a turnaround jump hook in the lane for a 2-0 advantage with just 10 seconds off the clock.
  • The Dons continued to shoot the ball efficiently during the opening minutes of the quarter, scoring on four of their first six field-goal attempts, capped off with a Freja Werth second-chance layup to give the team an 8-6 lead at the 7:37 mark of the first quarter.
