SAN FRANCISCO -- Frankie Ferrari scored 18 points and Matt McCarthy had 15 points with a career-high tying 14 rebounds to help San Francisco beat Campbell 65-62 on Thursday night in the semifinals of the CBI.
The Dons (21-15) will play North Texas in the best-of-three finals beginning Monday in San Francisco.
Jordan Ratinho and Ferrari hit back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 25-23 and the Dons never again trailed. Mogga Lado's layup tied it at 51-all midway through the second half, but USF answered with a 13-4 run, including six points by McCarthy, to push its lead to nine with 3:25 remaining.
