Esquivel's Grand Slam Leads San Francisco Past UC Davis

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Overcoming an early deficit in its final midweek game of the season, the University of San Francisco baseball team (21-28 defeated UC Davis (22-26) 10-3 Tuesday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

  • UC Davis opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, plating two runs to take a 2-0 lead. Houston Hirschkorn supplied the Aggies with the spark, recording a two-RBI single after Riley Acosta and Mark Wolbert earned back-to-back walks.
  • The Aggies added another run in the fourth on a Tyler Howard RBI single to left field, plating Evert Johnson for a 3-0 advantage.
