SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Playing in front of fans for the first team in a year and a half, the USF Dons' women's basketball team (1-0) took care of business Tuesday night as they knocked off the Morgan State Bears (0-1) by a final score of 69-53 at War Memorial Gym at the Sobrato Center.
USF put together a stingy defensive effort holding the potent Bears' to a 27% shooting percentage from the field while the Dons offense was in sync throughout shooting 55% as a team while also knocking down seven three point shots.

- The Dons took control of the contest early racing out to an 18-8 first quarter advantage where they shot 56% from the field and held the Bears to a paltry 21%.
