FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Following the program's strong spring season, the USF Dons track and field program traveled to John McDonnell Field at the University of Arkansas to compete at the 2022 NCAA Track and Field West Preliminaries this weekend.
The Dons were able to send four participants to Fayetteville as Abby Pradere, Ruby Smee, Baneet Bains and Gabriella Mace each qualified for the preliminaries in one event to kickoff postseason competition.
Thursday's meet began well for the Dons as Gabby Mace was able to qualify for the quarterfinals of the 400 meter hurdles by both setting the program record and her own personal best by racing a 58.
