SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Wrapping up their three game home stand on Sunday afternoon, the USF Dons women's soccer team (3-1-3) battled hard against the #16 SMU Mustangs (4-0-3) in a match that was decided in the final minutes that ended with a 1-1 draw.
USF sophomore midfielder Kaya Pigoni was able to get the Dons on the board first with a goal at the 67 minute mark to excite the home crowd on a beautiful afternoon on the Hilltop.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Both teams were unable to get on the scoreboard through the first 45 minutes of action as each defense did a great job of limiting opportunities as we got to halftime with the match scoreless.
