SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (18-24, 6-10) earned a victory in the series opener, defeating Pepperdine (10-32, 5-11 WCC) 10-4 Friday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

- Pepperdine opened the game on top, recording four runs in the first inning to take a commanding 4-0 advantage.
- Following two and a half scoreless innings, San Francisco scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 7-4 lead. JT Amaral highlighted the Dons' break-out inning, posting a bases-clearing double off the left field wall to give the green and gold a 5-4 lead.
