Dons Drop Pitching Duel to Gonzaga

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (17-18, 1-7 WCC) dropped the second game of the series Saturday afternoon, falling to Gonzaga (13-18, 9-2 WCC) 8-0 at Benedetti Diamond.

  • Gonzaga put a run on the board early, using back-to-back hits from Max Coupe and Payton Knowles to grab a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning.
  • Pitching highlighted the following four frames as San Francisco held Gonzaga hitless while only allowing two baserunners.
