SAN FRANCISCO — The 10th annual Battle In The Bay Classic Tournament got off to a dominant start as the San Francisco Dons made its presence felt on Friday at the California Tennis Club.
In the women's doubles, the Dons duo Rita Colyer and Shanna Dos Santos defeated Sacramento State's Jenna Dorian and Maria Gonzalez, 8-6. The Dons pair Coyler and Santos will play a mixed team of the University of Pacific's Anneroos Nederstigit and USC's Danielle Willson in the semifinal round at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday September, 22.
Emily Maxfield, Hanna Borjeson, Mya Bui and Rita Colyer dominated in women's singles taking down their opponents.
