SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (24-29) opened its final series of the regular season with an 8-3 victory over Utah Valley (28-25) on Wednesday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

- San Francisco built an early lead with a four-run first inning, starting with an RBI single from Eddison Esquivel to open the scoring.
- Utah Valley responded in the top of the second, trimming the deficit in half, 4-2, following a Luke Iverson two-run home run.
- Esquivel kept the momentum in the third, driving in TJ Rogers with his second RBI single of the afternoon.
