Cougars Strike Early to Salvage Series

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Playing their series on a sunny afternoon, the University of San Francisco baseball team (23-24, 11-10 WCC) dropped game three of their weekend set against BYU (23-18, 8-10 WCC), 12-4, at Benedetti Diamond on Saturday.

  • Wasting no time to begin the, BYU got on the board first with four runs on three hits in the bottom of the first to grab an early 4-0 lead. Two innings later, third baseman Austin Deming launched a solo home run in the top half of the third to extend the Cougar advantage to 5-0.
