Cougars Outhit Dons in Series Finale

PROVO, Utah - Aiming to secure their second straight conference series win on the road, the University of San Francisco baseball team (13-13, 4-8 WCC) could not climb back from an early deficit on Sunday afternoon as BYU (11-19, 5-7 WCC) took down the Dons, 16-5, to wrap up the weekend at Miller Park.

  • Wasting little time, Luke Anderson gave the Cougars an early 2-0 lead with his first home run of the game in the bottom of the first inning.
  • Two innings later, BYUY extended their advantage to 4-0 with two more runs on two hits, which included Anderson's second long ball of the afternoon.
