Bears Top Dons in Hard Fought Match

BERKELEY, Calif. – Closing out their two-game road stretch with their second Pac-12 matchup of the season, the University of San Francisco women's soccer team (1-1-1) was unable to find their rhythm offensively on Thursday afternoon, falling to California (3-0-2), 1-0, at Edwards Stadium.

  • Aiming to defend their home turf from the start, the Golden Bears game out firing against the Dons to begin, logging the first five shots of the match for either team for the initial eleven minutes of play. Denying the opposing attack, goalkeeper Molly Eby saved both shots on goal to keep Cal off the board early.
