MORAGA, Calif. - The University of San Francisco Dons (19-11, 9-1 WCC) baseball team won an exciting conference game over Saint Mary's (15-13, 5-5 WCC), 5-3.

Coming up against a strong pitching staff from Saint Mary's, the Dons would get a pivotal early run in the first inning. Jonathan Allen singled on the first pitch of the game, then Riley Helland reached base on fielder's choice. With Allen running on the play, Helland's ball hit up the middle fell to the shortstop, who was caught between two minds and the junior catcher was able to beat the throw to first base.
