BASE | Top of the Order, Pitching Combo Helps Dons Even Series

STOCKTON, Calif. — Multiple hits from both ends of the lineup and another 1-2 punch from starter Scott Parker and reliever Alex Pham Friday carried the University of San Francisco baseball team to a 6-3 West Coast Conference series-tying win over host Pacific at Klein Family Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • A day after he saw his 10-game hitting streak come to an end, Tyler Villaroman was right back at it Friday with a 3-for-5 day. He started the game 0 for 2, but he singled in each of his last three at-bats, driving in what would serve as the winning run to break a 3-3 tie in the top of the sixth and scoring an insurance run in the eighth.
