A Powerhouse On and Off the Course

If you go to USF, the name “Charlotte Taylor” might ring a bell, and for good reason. Taylor made USF history by winning the NCAA 10,000 race championship. No other track athlete — male or female — has accomplished such a task at USF. Taylor told our sports editor, Alex Kreise, about her huge accomplishment and why she started running in the first place.

With all the excitement over Taylor’s historic performance, our first question had to be about her first-place race. Taylor said, “I went into the race feeling good and with my best ever season of training behind me, but it was still a big surprise for everything to come together on that day.
