With the 49ers drafting Javon Kinlaw #14 overall to fill the DT hole left by traded DeForest Buckner, DT Solomon Thomas will see a major cut in his expected snaps for the 2020 season. Thomas has never lived up to his #3 overall pick a couple of years ago and could be traded or cut by the time the season gets underway this fall.

Jimmy Garoppolo is a major winner after the 49ers drafted WR Brandon Aiyuk, traded Marquise Goodwin and traded for LT Trent Williams. The 49ers have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL after adding Williams, a 7-time Pro Bowl LT. With Jalen Hurd returning to the playing field and a year of experience under DeeBo Samuel’s belt, Jimmy G will have both protection and weapons.
