The success of the NFL’s first game globally streamed for free over the Internet inspired Commissioner Roger Goodell to visit the Bay Area this week to meet with Silicon Valley executives.
Jed York, the 49ers’ CEO, confirmed the league is looking at the possibility of expanding the number of games that are streamed live next season after Yahoo and the NFL teamed up to draw huge numbers of viewers for the Oct. 25 game involving the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
“Roger and I met with multiple executives,” York told CSNBayArea.com late Wednesday.
