SANTA CLARA — Sitting inside Kwon Alexander’s locker is a football with the Cincinnati Bengals logo on it. It came Sunday via his first interception as the 49ers new, play-making linebacker, and that ball has barely left his grasp since then.
“I’ve got to have a ball in my hand every second of the day,” Alexander said Thursday.
Last week, he toted around the ceremonnial gameball given to him after the 49ers’ season-opening win at Tampa Bay, where his first-quarter ejection having served as a defensive rallying cry.
