What we learned at 49ers HQ Monday: Dee Ford could miss Packers

SANTA CLARA — Dee Ford, a speed-rushing pillar on the 49ers No. 2-ranked defense, could miss an upcoming stretch that may dictate the 49ers’ postseason path.

Ford strained his right hamstring in Sunday’s 36-26 win over Arizona and did not return after halftime.

“There is concern it could be a couple weeks,” coach Kyle Shanahan said.

Next up for the 49ers (9-1) is a trifecta of 8-2 opponents: Sunday vs. Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, Dec. 1 against Lamar Jackson and the host Baltimore Ravens, and, Dec.8 vs. Drew Brees and the host New Orleans Saints.
