Two days after Chubba Purdy, the brother of 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, found his new college football home, that new home is in upheaval.
San Jose State head coach Brent Brennan is officially leaving the program to become Arizona’s head coach, a move that casts doubt on Chubba Purdy’s future with the Spartans; the quarterback committed there on Sunday over Cal, North Texas and TCU.
Purdy was joining the Spartans as a transfer from Nebraska, and it isn’t clear if he signed any transfer documentation with San Jose State that would lock him into the school.
