Tom Brady has been associated with the New England Patriots for so many years, it’s easy to forget that he grew up rooting for a team on the other side of the country.
But Brady, who attended Serra High in San Mateo, regularly went to San Francisco 49ers games at Candlestick Park in the 1980s and grew up watching Joe Montana, reminded everyone Tuesday morning with a post on Instagram:
“When I was 4 years old I watched Joe play at Candlestick Park on Jan. 10, 1982 and saw ‘The Catch’, one of the greatest plays in football history,” Brady wrote.
