The 49ers' Nick Bosa not receiving a single vote for Comeback Player of the Year is absurd

It's Super Bowl week, and most of the talk has centered around what else: quarterbacks Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.

The same applies to the annual awards, which saw Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers win his second consecutive Associated Press Most Valuable Player award and fourth overall, putting him just one behind all-time leader and fellow signal-caller Peyton Manning. (The past nine MVPs have been quarterbacks.)

As for the AP Comeback Player of the Year award, just one vote went to a non-quarterback: Safety Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers who missed two years due to injury after being named to the Pro Bowl in 2018.
