The San Francisco 49ers announced several promotions in their front office on Thursday, naming a Vice President of Player Personnel, as well as two new Assistant General Managers.
Tariq Ahmad was promoted from Director to Vice President of Player Personnel, marking the second straight year he earned a promotion in the organization. He finished his 11th year with the 49ers this season, and was in his first year as the Director of Player Personnel after being the Director of Scouting for the three years prior.

“In his role, Ahmad manages the daily operations of the college scouting department and their evaluations of players among colleges to help prepare for the Draft and free agency.
