The 49ers have finally learned their lesson on contract extensions

After years of contract drama bleeding into the start of training camp, if not all the way through it, the San Francisco 49ers have finally decided enough is enough.

The 49ers agreed to a three-year, $63 million extension with star linebacker Fred Warner on Monday, according to multiple reports. According to NFL Network, Warner will get $56.7 million guaranteed with the new deal, which would give him the highest salary of any linebacker in the NFL.

The 49ers entered the offseason with three superstars set to get extensions: Warner, tight end George Kittle and quarterback Brock Purdy.
