In the least shocking news of the day, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell danced around questions about why former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has remained unsigned since he opted out of his contract on March 3, 2017.
"I’ve said it many times privately, publicly that our clubs are the ones that make decisions on players that they want to have on their roster," Goodell told the media during his State of the League press conference in Atlanta on Wednesday.
Back in 2016, Kaepernick started kneeling during the national anthem to protest the social injustices plaguing the country.
