The San Francisco 49ers can brag about having one of the NFL's better quarterback rooms this season, made evident by the fact they navigated Brock Purdy's lengthy injury absence by getting exemplary play from their No. 2 guy under center, Mac Jones, for eight games and riding a 5-3 record during that span.
Most teams would be devastated if they lost their starter for an eight-game stretch. And while the Los Angeles Chargers probably aren't worried about missing their star starter under center, Justin Herbert, for a lengthy period of time, they at least have to be thinking about his interim fill-in.
