Settlement talks between NFL, Kaepernick collapse, but they agree where grievance will be held

Colin Kaepernick doesn’t have a date for his collusion hearing against the NFL, but he has a venue.

According to Jason La Canfora of cbssports.com, Kaepernick’s grievance against the league will be held in Philadelphia — the city of Brotherly Love. It is believed the hearing will be in early 2019 — just in time to compete for attention with the league’s postseason.

CBS Sports reported that the process is likely to take two weeks at an “upscale hotel” close to the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where arbitrator Stephen Burbank is a professor.

La Canfora also reported that preliminary negotiations aimed at a settlement collapsed almost before they were initiated.
