The San Francisco 49ers are one of only a handful of winless teams three weeks into the 2017 NFL season.
On one hand, this is what most probably expected. The Niners are only at the beginning phases of a long, long rebuild, so these struggles are likely to continue over the course of the season.
Yet there are plenty of areas in which this team has been wildly inconsistent.
In Weeks 1 and 2, head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense was almost nonexistent. But then the 49ers put up 39 points in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football.
