After months of confusion over a trade demand that had us looking for signs on his Instagram follows, it looks like Deebo Samuel is staying a San Francisco 49er after all. With a lucrative contract extension.
One minute apart from each other Sunday afternoon, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter both reported on Twitter that the 49ers had reached an extension with Samuel (their sources weren't named). Both said Samuel was getting a three-year, $71.55 million extension with $58.1 million guaranteed and potential maximum value of $73.5 million.
As of publication time, the news had not been confirmed by Samuel or the 49ers.
