The San Francisco 49ers won’t have any representatives this year in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Isaac Bruce and John Lynch were finalists, but Denver Broncos beat writer Mike Klis reports Lynch did not make it and ESPN’s Randy Karraker reports Bruce also did not make it into the final five for this year’s class of inductees.
The selection this year had to be a nightmare for voters. In Lynch’s case, former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed was on the ballot and that’s pretty tough competition to be up against.
