Reports came out this morning that the San Francisco 49ers would sign safety J.J. Wilcox. The addition came after the team waived Trovon Reed on Monday.
Not so fast.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that Wilcox has “flipped” and left Santa Clara without signing a contract. Instead, he’s heading to New Jersey to sign with the New York Jets.
Former Cowboys’ and Steelers’ S JJ Wilcox was in 49ers’ offices to sign today...and then he “flipped”, in word of one source, and decided he wanted to play for HC Todd Bowles.
