Report: 49ers sign Pro Bowl tight end Jordan Reed

The San Francisco 49ers signed a potential game-changing tight end for the upcoming season.

According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the 49ers inked a one-year deal with Jordan Reed, who was a Pro Bowl tight end for the Washington Football Team.

The contract is heave on incentives because Reed has a history of concussions.

The tight end has suffered at least seven known concussions since his rookie season in 2013. His latest concussion, received during the 2019 NFL preseason, forced Reed to miss the entire regular season for Washington. He was released by the team in February.
