It appears Trent Brown will be the latest 49er who will leave the team not long after the new regime drafted his replacement.
On Friday, about 12 hours after the 49ers selected offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey with the No. 9 pick, ProFootballTalk.com reported they are discussing a trade with the Patriots involving Brown, their starting right tackle the past two seasons.
The news doesn’t come as surprise given the selection of McGlinchey with a top-10 pick. In fact, general manager John Lynch said “you never say never” when asked about the possibility of trading Brown on Thursday night.
