Ray-Ray Armstrong and Reuben Foster reportedly saved their own lives Sunday by turning and running from several allegedly armed assailants.

Mission Local’s Joe Eskenazi reported Tuesday late afternoon that the two 49ers linebackers allegedly escaped would-be armed robbers by running away in a move several police officers praised.

“We are aware of the reports regarding the robbery and are very thankful no one was harmed,” the 49ers said in a statement. “Reuben and Ray-Ray have been, and will continue to be, cooperative with any further police investigation.”
