Per the Athletic’s Matt Barrows, the 49er’s have shown some interest in former Jets WR Jermaine Kearse:
The seriousness of this is still up in the air.
What it does tell us is that the team is looking at some veteran names that are on the wide receiver market. Maybe not the wide receiver we all want, but a name either way. Kearse finished in the 80’s per Football Outsiders DVOA/DYAR metrics for wide receivers. PFF graded Kearse as a 62.7 overall. Kearse finished the 2018 season with 37 receptions for 371 yards and a touchdown.
