A Detroit Lions player got away with taking a swipe at the face of 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings early in the second quarter of Sunday’s NFC championship game.

The incident happened after running back Christian McCaffrey scored a 2-yard touchdown to cut San Francisco’s deficit in half, 14-7. Jennings was blocking Detroit defensive back Brian Branch, with Jennings giving Branch an extra shove as McCaffrey tumbled into the end zone. Branch appeared to take exception to the move, turned to the receiver and swiped at Jennings’ helmet.
The swipe can be seen on multiple angles of the touchdown, including the official broadcast of the game.
