RB DuJuan Harris returns to 49ers

Running back DuJuan Harris is returning to the 49ers, his agent confirmed Monday.

The bulk of Harris’ workload last season came as a replacement to injured starter Carlos Hyde, who is entering the final season of his rookie contract.

Harris, 28, averaged 3.6 yards per carry (38 carries, 138 yards) and 14.4 yards per reception (eight for 115 yards) in 10 games last season after being promoted from the practice squad.

Shaun Draughn, another former backup to Hyde, left in free agency last week for the New York Giants. Other running backs on the 49ers roster are Raheem Mostert and Mike Davis.
